FANUC robot spare parts

iPendant teach units, A06B servo amplifiers and αi/βi motors, A20B and A16B boards, pulse coders, backup batteries and cables — for R-J3 through R-30iB Plus, including controller generations FANUC no longer supports. Tested on our own rigs and sold with a one-year warranty.

FANUC numbers carry a suffix that pins the exact variant — two iPendants with the same A05B-2518 stem are not interchangeable. Send us the number from your label and we will confirm the exact variant before quoting.

Identification

How to read a FANUC part number

FANUC's first four characters tell you the category of the component before you look anything up. This is the single most useful thing to know when you are standing in front of an open cabinet.

Prefix / designationWhat it identifies
A05BComplete assemblies — teach pendants, controller cabinets, mechanical units
A06BServo drives, servo motors and power supply modules (αi and βi series)
A16BPrinted circuit boards and backplanes, mostly older generations
A20BPrinted circuit boards and backplanes, mostly R-30i generations
A61L / A66LDisplays — LCD monitors and their communication cables
A660Cables and wiring harnesses
A290Mechanical parts for the arm — gears, castings, wrist components
A98LAccessories — batteries, fuses, small consumables

What sits in each cabinet, and what fails first

R-J3 / R-J3iB

Late 1990s to mid 2000s, out of OEM support

A16B and A20B boards, teach pendants and their cables, servo amplifiers, A98L backup batteries, motor and encoder harnesses. Board-level repair is usually the realistic route here, because new stock effectively does not exist.

R-30iA

The generation most Indian lines are running today

iPendant units and cables, A06B servo amplifiers, αi servo motors and pulse coders, A20B main and axis boards, backup batteries, fans and transformers.

R-30iB / R-30iB Plus

Current and recent generation

iPendant and iPendant Touch, αiSV amplifier modules (A06B-6114 family), servo motors, main boards, battery kits, I/O modules. Mostly sourcing and priority dispatch rather than obsolescence work.

Before you order

Send us four things and we can quote

Most wrong-part orders come from reading the robot model off the arm and stopping there. The controller generation matters as much as the robot.

  • A photo of the component label. The part number and revision are what we quote against.
  • The controller generation. R-J3 / R-J3iB, R-30iA, R-30iB / R-30iB Plus.
  • The error code. If the part is not obviously dead, the controller message tells us more than the symptom.
  • The urgency. A line that is down and a planned shutdown in six weeks get different answers from us.

FAQ

FANUC spare parts: questions we get asked most

Which FANUC controllers do you supply spare parts for?

R-J3, R-J3iB, R-30iA, R-30iB and R-30iB Plus. Older R-J3 generation cells are a regular part of our work, because they are still productive and no longer supported by FANUC.

What does the FANUC part number prefix mean?

The first four characters identify the category. A05B is complete assemblies such as teach pendants and cabinets; A06B is servo drives, motors and power modules; A16B and A20B are printed circuit boards and backplanes; A61L and A66L are displays and their cables; A660 is cables and harnesses; A290 is mechanical arm parts; A98L is accessories such as batteries and fuses.

What battery does a FANUC robot controller use?

The common memory-backup battery is the 6 V quad pack listed as A98L-0031-0025, also supplied as the A06B-6114-K504 kit. It is an annual replacement item. Letting it die costs you SRAM contents and mastering data, which turns a five-minute job into a recovery.

Can you repair a FANUC iPendant?

Yes — touch screens, membranes, deadman switches, housings and cables are all repairable at component level, tested on a rig and returned with a six-month warranty. Check the cable (A660 family) before condemning the pendant; intermittent faults are frequently the cable.

Do I need the full part number including the suffix?

Yes. The suffix after the four-character prefix is what pins the exact variant, and two units sharing a stem are often not interchangeable. Photograph the rating plate and send us what it says rather than the stem alone.

Do you supply FANUC servo motors and amplifiers?

Yes — αi and βi series servo motors with their pulse coders, and A06B amplifier modules including the A06B-6114 αiSV family. Motors are tested under load before dispatch, not just continuity-checked.

What if the part I need is discontinued?

We source refurbished and tested used stock, repair the unit you already have, or re-engineer the function where the original component no longer exists. Scrapping a working R-J3 cell because a board is unavailable is almost never the cheapest answer.

Do you ship FANUC spare parts across India?

Yes, anywhere in India from our Pune facility, and into Europe through our branch in Germany, with the expected lead time given in the quote.
